Greetings,

I am writing today to share with you and the world my simple strategy to utilize Twitter to increase your online efforts reach and meet a whole bunch of fun and exciting people along the way!

I also want to point out why you should post or cross-post your work on www.GrizzlyGroundswell.com .

I take my position as uniting the conservative thought, voice and image very seriously and Twitter is one way that I can lift up my authors of the Grizzly Groundswell and get their great thought out into the cybersphere in a really exciting way!

So, This is what it takes to utilize this simple strategy.

You first have to have a blog or online radio show or some online effort that you wish to promote.  I will use www.GrizzlyGroundswell.com for my example.

You next must have an RSS or Really Simple Syndication Feed URL so that you can extend it into Twitter.com.
The Grizzly Groundswell is a wordpress blog and is really simple to find.  Look for the logo off to the left of this paragraph.

The Grizzly Groundswell RSS URL is:  http://grizzlygroundswell.com/feed
We will use this after we get a few more accounts set up!

Now we need to go to Twitter.com

Bookmark the Twitter.com page, you will be coming back often!

Click on the big green box that says:

“Join the Conversation!” or “Get Started Now” (either will show depending upon your visit!)

Username:  You get 15 characters to “brand” your Twitter account.  For the Grizzly Groundswell, the name of the blog is too long to be my twitter user name so I went with GrizzlyFeed

Password:  Must be over 6 characters.  I recommend using Capital, lowercase and atleast one number to foil take over attempts.

Email Address:  If you want multiple twitter accounts to feed your multiple RSS feeds then you must have individual email accounts for each!

ReCaptcha makes sure you are human!
I passed!

I would check the “inside scoop” because it is always good to keep up with this great tool!

Feel free to gander at the terms of service!
Then click your account!  That is it, you are ready to Twitter!

Home:  This takes you back to this page where you can access all the links you can utilize in your site.  Honestly, this is your Admin page.

Profile:  This is your public profile page. This is where all your tweets and only your tweets show.  Don’t worry about adding more followers because if they want to see what you are saying all they need to do is go to your profile page!

Find People:  This handy tool lets you add people from your email contacts that may already be on Twitter.  You can also email those that are not and make sure you include a link to this post!  You can also search here, or use www.twitter.search.com

Settings:  Here you can enter your account: settings, make sure you add your blog url, and a little about yourself!  Password: can be changed.  Devices: can add your mobile devices but be careful, make sure you have unlimited text, or it will cost you a bundle! Picture: add a great photo of yourself or your site brand logo!  Design: allows you to pimp out your account by uploading a photo or choosing from the great array of designs twitter provides.

B:  This is your Picture and your username or identity on twitter!

C: This is the guage of your influence and reach on Twitter!  Your Followers!  Every follower you attract means your witty and brilliant tweets will go on their feed so those following your follower can fall in love with you Tweet and follow you as well or even follow the link back to your site to find all your thought!  Your goal should be to have as many followers as possible!  @LeslieCarbone  one of the best conservative Twitter account users out there and blogger has 2,748 followers as I write this post!  She Rocks!

D:  Home:  Is where you can write your tweets and see all the Tweets those you are following are Tweeting in real time!  If they are tweeting something interesting, jump in and reply to them!  Add the “@username” then your witty addition to the conversation!  So if we are going to tweet Leslie Carbone we would write

“@LeslieCarbone Your Correct! That Bail Out is out of Control!   I love your tweets and I am going to follow your great Tweets! Get Grizzly!”  140 characters

@Replies:  This is a list of everyone that has @replied back to YOU!  I check this everytime I update my account!  This is another great way to gain relationships with those you are not following you yet, and those you want to be your loyal followers and friends!  Always be coureous and if you want to pick a fight, save it for your blog.  Twitter is a much friendlier place then your comment section on your blog.  Remember they goal is to increase your followers not scare them away!

Direct Messages:  You can direct message any of your followers!  This tab allows you to see who has direct messaged you and no one else can see these messages but you and the person who sent or received them!

Favorites:  You can click on any tweet’s star and favorite your favorite tweet!  You can do this to those you admire and those tweets you always want close.  I sometimes will favorite a really stupid tweet just for a laugh later on!

Everyone:  This is a great way to look into what everyone is twittering about!  You may find your next great twitter friend here!  Engage them and @reply them to get into the conversation!

Following:  This is your gallery of the wonderful people you are following hoping that they are smart enough to follow you back!

E:  your last Tweet!

F:  A list of your followers tweet’s! 

G:  This is where all the magic happens, your blank 140 character canvas!  Get Grizzly and creative and tweet  what you are doing now!  What great insight you have and share your silly sense of humor!

Ok, that is Twitter in a few paragraphs and a great youtube presentation!

Now, remember that RSS url?  We are going to use it pretty quick!

2.  Login to twitterfeed using your OpenID

OpenID is a standard for providing single sign on between web sites
You can register your own OpenID for free, or may even be able to use your existing blog ID [more]


Then after you have used your yahoo or other open id account to log in: 

Go to my twitter Feeds (or create a New one)

Here is a screen shot of my account.  You can see how I effectively feed my Grizzly Groundswell networks to my twitter accounts.  Rather then send all my RSS feeds to one account and overwhelm my followers, I spread them out over 7 accounts.  Loki842 is a friends account I worked on to help him get his great radio show out there to the world using his Twitter Account!  Within 48 hours using my strategy he has almost 600 followers!

When you get to the page above you will not have any accounts set up!  So lets get one set up!

Click on + Create New Twitter Feed

Sorry about the small font on the images, I have to scale them down so you can see them on the blog!

Here is the breakdown:

A:  Make sure this is set to Twitter Feed

B:  Enter in your Twitter username and password

C:  Check this out!  you can make sure your twitter username and rss feed can be read correctly!

D:  Enter in your blog RSS feed url

E:  Update Frequency, choose less time and more feeds for more active blogs and if you post only once a day, then your feed does not have to have more frequent updates!

F:  TinyURL and TWEETBURNER are two great settings.  I use Tweetburner because www.tweetburner.com allows you to track the reach of your tweets!  Another Great tool! 

G:  This is the tag all your tweets from this RSS feed will start with! 

H:  Make sure this is checked to make this account active!

I:  Update!  You are finished and your twitterfeed is now Grizzly!

J:  don’t forget to tythe if you have the means! Twitterfeed.com is an awesome tool!

OK, now lets get you some reach with some great Followers!

Time for Grizzly Groundswell Twitter Strategy!

Here goes:

Being a Great Conservative, you need to assist the rest of us conservatives by getting our message, thought, voice and image out there!  therefore, 200 “quality” followers just does not cut it.  Conservatives need 2Million followers.  Remember, we lead from the grassroots.  Everytime you hear “quality” over “quanity” remember, does that work for elections?  Hell no!  We need to grow our ranks in immense Grizzly ways!  Example:  @GrizzlyFeed  Lets take a trip over to www.twinfluence.com

Dr. Kenneth C. Hill

Dr. Hill has been active in communications
and broadcasting all his adult life, having been involved in virtually
every aspect of television and radio for more than three decades. His
broadcast communications career has included teaching at the college
level in areas of mass communication, broadcast journalism and numerous
other subjects in the field.

Dr. Hill’s educational achievements
include a Bachelor of Science degree in speech (broadcasting) and
history at East Tennessee State University, a Master of Science degree
in speech (broadcasting) at Indiana State University, and a number of
degrees in theology, including a Doctor of Religious Education degree
from Andersonville Baptist Seminary.

For the past 26 years, Dr.
Hill has been affiliated with the Appalachian Educational Communication
Corporation (AECC) in Bristol, Tennessee, and is currently CEO and
serves as general manager of five radio stations, broadcasting to five
states in the eastern U.S.

RED FLAGS: Is Fairness Doctrine Latest in Stalin-esque Far Left Agenda?:First
there was the Obama “Truth Squad” of lawyer and law enforcement
Democrats in Missouri. Then there was a “release the hounds” character
attack on Joe “the Plumber.” Now, the latest disturbing indicator of a
repressive tendency by the new Democrats to silence dissenting opinion
is a movement to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine.

How can a law
originally designed to ensure political balance in broadcasting be such
a powerful weapon of control for one party? Communications expert and
author, Dr. Kenneth Hill, is available for interviews to offer a very
educated and intriguing perspective on the issue.

“Reinstating
the Fairness Doctrine is not about preserving the liberals’ right to
present their opinions on the airwaves,” says Hill. “They have that
right. No one is denying them that. No, the Fairness Doctrine is about
shutting down the much more popular conservative programming that
obviously resonates more with the American public. That’s why so many
recognize this law for what it is—the Censorship Doctrine.”

One
of the forerunners behind this political power play is John Podesta,
President-elect Obama’s White House transition team co-chairman.
Podesta has been a major role player in the startup of the Far Left
“media monitoring” website, Media Matters. But by its own
self-description, the website has a controversial agenda that leaves
the motive behind the Fairness Doctrine questionable at best.

Established
in May 2004, Media Matters was created to “systematically monitor a
cross-section of print, broadcast, cable, radio and Internet media
outlets for conservative misinformation.” But in addition to “news or
commentary that is not accurate, reliable or credible,” the
organization’s concept of “misinformation” includes anything that
“forwards the conservative agenda.” Thus political differences of
opinion are often portrayed by Media Matters as lies or worse.

As
a guest on your show, Hill will expose the real threat that he believes
the Fairness Doctrine poses against the First Amendment, and can go
into impressive detail regarding the important issues he establishes in
his book Assault on Liberty: Rebirth of the Fairness Doctrine. Such
issues include:

· How the Fairness Doctrine affects free speech.
· How liberals in Congress want to revive the Doctrine to limit broadcasters from keeping listeners fully informed.
· How 40% of Americans would have their news and information censored under the Doctrine.
· How the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is involved.
· What your listeners can do to prevent the abuses of power facilitated by the Fairness Doctrine.

Broadcast Blackout of Left’s ‘Fairness’ Doctrine Push

Barack
Obama’s transition team has tapped former FCC Commissioner Henry
Rivera, a longtime proponent of the so-called “Fairness Doctrine,” to
head the team looking for the man or woman who will soon give Democrats
a 3-to-2 advantage on the Federal Communications Commission.
[CORRECTION ADDED, 11/14]

It’s another troubling sign that
Democrats are serious about trying to reinstate the long-defunct FCC
regulation, which can more aptly be described as the “Censorship
Doctrine” because of its chilling effect on free speech. In effect from
1949 to 1987, the Fairness Doctrine was an obstacle to open discussion
of public policy issues on the radio; its removal in the Reagan years
spawned the robust talk radio marketplace of ideas now enjoyed by
millions.

While talk radio hosts often warned during the
campaign that free speech could be trampled by an all-Democratic
majority, the broadcast networks have failed to react to this dangerous
threat to the First Amendment. A review shows the broadcast networks —
whose affiliates could also be regulated — have failed to run even a
single story mentioning the push for a new Fairness Doctrine.

The
most recent mention of the Fairness Doctrine was on May 30, 2007, when
in an interview on CBS’s The Early Show, Al Gore bizarrely called it a
“protection” that was removed during the Reagan years.

But there
has been news to report, as Democrats have been more than candid about
their plans. On Election Day, for example, New York Senator Charles
Schumer justified regulating political speech. “The very same people
who don’t want the Fairness Doctrine want the FCC to limit pornography
on the air,” Schumer told the Fox News Channel. “You can’t say,
‘government hands off in one area’ to a commercial enterprise, but
you’re allowed to intervene in another. That’s not consistent.”

In
late October, Democratic Senator Jeff Bingaman told a New Mexico radio
station how he “hopes” the Fairness Doctrine returns so radio will be
more to his liking: “For many, many years, we operated under a Fairness
Doctrine in this country. I think the country was well-served. I think
the public discussion was at a higher level and more intelligent in
those days than it has become since.”

Democrats have launched
various attempts to control of broadcast content since the Fairness
Doctrine’s demise in 1987, but the push has become more insistent in
the past couple of years. After the failure of a liberal immigration
bill in 2007, Senator Dianne Feinstein told Fox News Sunday that she
was “looking at” a new Fairness Doctrine because “talk radio tends to
be one-sided….It’s explosive. It pushes people to, I think, extreme
views without a lot of information.” As with Schumer and Bingaman
recently, none of the broadcast networks thought Feinstein’s threats
worth reporting.

Journalists aren’t known for turning a blind
eye to free speech issues. In 2003, ABC, CBS and NBC ran 33 stories on
criticism of the Dixie Chicks for speaking out against President Bush
and the Iraq war. ABC’s Jim Wooten darkly warned: “All this has
reminded some of the McCarthy Era’s blacklists that barred those even
accused of communist sympathies for working in films or on television.”

When
Democrats first pushed to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine in 1987-88,
both the New York Times and Washington Post came down strongly on the
side of free speech. In a June 24, 1987 editorial, the Post called the
concept of a Fairness Doctrine repulsive:

“The truth is…that
there is no ‘fairness’ whatever in the ‘fairness’ doctrine. On the
contrary, it is a chilling federal attempt to compel some undefined
‘balance’ of what ideas radio and television news programs are to
include….The ‘fairness doctrine’ undercuts free, independent, sound
and responsive journalism — substituting governmental dictates. That is
deceptive, dangerous and, in a democracy, repulsive.”

Now that
the Left is gearing up to suffocate talk radio, the media’s First
Amendment solidarity seems to have been eclipsed by their loyalty to
the would-be censors of the Democratic Party.

political groups of people that need to find other conservatives in that area so
they can network and find each other and get that message out there!  Eventually
all these sites will be tied together with one Wordpress MU installation that
will allow you to move seemlessly through each of these interest group
sites.

to be an Abraham Lincoln Republican, so we can take our GOP back from the
contemporary socialists that rule it today!

exciting project we hopefully will be launching in the new year.  3-12 bloggers,
radio show hosts, candidates and experts in our membership will fly into any
where they can afford us across this nation and maybe the world to teach them
how to get online with blogs, online radio shows, plan events, seo,
investigative reporter, foia, blog newspaper, and how to run a campaign on
limited resources are just some of the classes in development.  We will walk
them through the fear, lower the hurdles and give them our best practices so
they will start out with a huge advantage, also they will get plugged into the
Grizzly Groundswell networks so that they can start out with hundreds of
visitors and have a ton of exposure from day one instead of starting off so slow
as we had too.  Students will walk in with nothing and walk out with blogs,
online radio shows and networks.

I have ignited imaginations of kids of all ages with clay and conservative thought.  Now that my business, The Clay Empire concentrates more on Raku clay tile and mosaics and I have put my clay classes on hold, I need to liquidate my equipment so that I can found and create the E. W. Everson Institute.  The Grizzly Groundswell is doing a great job uniting the conservative thought, voice and image and now we need to grow it.  I need to find funds and in doing so, I need to liquidate unused equipment to keep this going.
